Grasslands National Park

Rainy, blustery weather greeted me on my trip to south Saskatchewan in late May of this year. I spent 5 days in Grasslands National Park, trying to make the most of it. One dawn provided some beauty, leading to one lovely sunny day before the clouds rolled in again.

I always think of the grasslands as golden. The time to see them green must be fleeting. Nice!

I was early enough that in the hills, the new green growth had yet to overtake the old gold. It was just along the streams and in the prairie dog ‘pastures’ that things looked more lush.
