An unusually mild spell of November weather encouraged me to take the kayak out one more time.

Areas of the park infrastructure are being renovated, but I soon left the sounds of working equipment behind to enjoy the peacefulness of the lake, which seemed devoid of other human life. This is just before freeze-up and most water birds had already gone south, so there are no spectacular bird aggregations or sightings on this trip. The video is longer than most have patience with, but the rhythmic splash of the paddle, along with Kai Engel‘s music (which I have adapted) provides it a special contemplative appeal to me, so I will share it in the hope that others may also appreciate it. This is not about photography (most of this is taken with a Sony HDR-AS200V action cam.), but it is about life.
